ODYSSEY

Senior Environment Artist / 2022-2023

I directed the creation of a modular ecosystem for Odyssey's virtual workspace platform designed to showcase the power of their proprietary pixel-streaming technology. Supported by efficient automation, I established the visual benchmark for the platform and satisfied the requirements of high-level clients.


Overview

My main role was to design and produce easily navigable, multi-usage environments to serve as canvases for online meetings and presentation galleries.

To meet the rigorous demands of high-tier clientele (McDonald's, Wunderman Thompson,...) under aggressive timelines, I designed and engineered a high-velocity art production ecosystem.

Through the scripting of modular architectural tools and automated tri-planar custom shaders, I was able to deploy flexible environments with unprecedented speed, offering consistency without sacrificing visual quality. In order to bring a more interactive experience, I programmed animations, day/night cycles and proximity-based light functions. Master scripts were dropped in any level and automatically managed all light components without any more steps required.

I developed high-quality, cutting-edge world streaming using optimized render targets. This technology offered seamless level transitions from one environment to another.
